(Not) Fully Developed: Lin Szu-Ying Solo Exhibition at Hyper Wave Taipei Space

From 23 September to 21 October 2026, Hyper Wave Taipei Space presented (Not) Fully Developed, a solo exhibition by Lin Szu-Ying.

The exhibition grew out of Forestry Stories, an earlier work rooted in the history of Luodong’s timber industry and in a 1979 fire at a timber factory behind Luodong station. Piecing together the past from memories and oral accounts, Lin Szu-Ying does not try to restore a single truth. Instead, she asks how we can look again at a history that can never be fully recovered.

“Developing” here refers both to the photographic process and to the way history, memory and matter slowly surface as we look. From forestry, factories and conveyor systems to an old family house and devotional objects, the works follow wood as it leaves the forest and enters human life.
