About Hyper Wave

​Founded in 2022, Hyper Wave is a Taiwan-based international art collective composed of visual artists Hung Yu-Hao, Lin Szu-Ying, Chiu Chieh-Sen, Margot Guillemot, and curator Lai Pei-Chun. Named after the fluidity and unpredictability of contemporary art, Hyper Wave embraces experimentation and cultural exchange, fostering connections between local and international artistic communities.

In addition to their collective and individual art practices, Hyper Wave manages two art spaces: Surfy Space in Yilan and Zhongshan Institute of Techno-Art in Taipei. Surfy Space, located in the heart of Luodong, is an artist residency that combines living and creation spaces, providing a serene environment for artists and curators to focus on contemporary art. Zhongshan Institute of Techno-Art, located in central Taipei, hosts exhibitions and salons, fostering interdisciplinary exchanges among creators and thinkers.

This dual-center model bridges local and urban contexts, offering opportunities for creation, exhibition, and interaction. Yilan’s environment inspires immersive research and production, while Taipei’s vibrant setting connects artists to international networks and cultural resources. Through this innovative structure, Hyper Wave strengthens the ties between creation and exhibition, local and global dialogue, and artistic innovation and education.
