【The Path Not Far from Art】
At the lecture on June 27, 2025, @ling_zong_ting shared his experience with Expo 2025 Osaka, a major two-year international project. He discussed the technical and production challenges, as well as how he maintained professional authority within a complex organizational structure. Ling highlighted the importance of communication strategies, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and necessary compromises in large-scale projects.
He also addressed how to uphold artistic integrity in a commercial environment, introducing @okome.studio ’s “Dynamic Script Simulation Editor”—a tool that allows content design and engineering to progress together, greatly improving efficiency.
Expo 2025 Osaka is just one milestone on Ling’s “path not far from art.” His work spans curating the Zhubei Lantern Festival, contributing to the 2025 Taiwan Lantern Festival piece Mountain, Sea, City, and Blooms: Dreamscapes of Hakka Villages, and assisting artists with custom installations and systems. By combining technology and art, Ling has created a unique role that bridges both fields, continually exploring new possibilities at their intersection.
