上週四晚上，講者蔡秉樺 Kidd以豐富的實務經驗出發，帶領觀眾穿梭於技術與藝術之間的邊界，勾勒出新媒體藝術中跨域實踐的多重面向。從程式邏輯的基礎，到創作形式的延展，Kidd不僅強調技術的功能性，更揭示其作為藝術語言的潛力，對他而言，程式不僅是工具，而是能與藝術並肩的媒介，成為創意的延伸，隨著程式語言的進化，視覺化的程式設計軟體如TouchDesigner，將抽象的數據流化為直觀的創作過程，使藝術家能直接操作聲音、影像與感測器輸入，透過動態的視覺生成，縮短了概念與作品落地之間的距離，而這種模式將注意力集中於數據如何流動、變化，並進一步轉化為藝術表現，讓一個簡單的參數調整就能開展出複雜的動態場景。

在案例分享中，Kidd也展現了技術如何在不同場域中成為創作語言，例如互動裝置藝術透過攝影機捕捉觀眾動態，讓觀者的行為即時形塑作品，觀賞與參與的界線被打破；燈光與建築的結合，則透過程式與DMX控制系統的連動，將靜態建築轉化為流動的光影畫布，使城市在夜晚開展新的敘事；而在表演藝術中與音樂人合作，以即時影像生成呼應聲音的節奏與情緒，創造聲音與影像的沉浸式交響，讓觀眾同時被視覺與聽覺牽引。

除創作之外，Kidd亦透過BLND Academy投身教育與社群的推動，他敏銳地意識到，對許多初學者而言，文字程式與藝術思維間存在鴻溝，因此以視覺化程式為基礎的教學成為一種友善入口，在此，他所推動的社群，不僅是交流知識的場域，更是協作與實踐的平台，促使跨領域人才在其中碰撞、合作，並在共同解決問題的過程中推進整體生態的發展。

Last Thursday evening, Kidd explored the intersections of art and technology, stressing programming as an artistic medium rather than a mere tool. Using visual software like TouchDesigner, abstract data becomes intuitive and transformable in real time, bridging concept and realization. Case studies showed how interactive installations invite audiences to shape artworks through movement, while DMX lighting turns architecture into dynamic canvases, and performances integrate real-time visuals with rhythm and emotion for immersive experiences. Beyond practice, Kidd promotes education and community via BLND Academy, advocating visual programming as an accessible entry to digital art and fostering collaboration across disciplines. He concluded that the essence of new media art lies not in spectacular technologies but in shifting modes of thought, where data and algorithms construct fluid aesthetics and creativity emerges through boundary-crossing.
